Hovenweep National Monument
Five beautifully built ancient towers cluster at the heads of spring-fed canyons in this small, undeveloped park. Their use is still unknown – was it for storage? Solstice observation? Defense? Facilities include a Visitor Center and self-guided interpretive and hiking trails.
