Telluride Summer/Fall Travel Routes

Once the snow melts, Telluride transforms into a haven for outdoor activity, cultural events and unique festivals. The possibilities are endless; visitors may find themselves riding with the cowboys one minute and attending a performance by the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago the next. Telluride offers a number of packages designed to satisfy a wide variety of interests and budgets.

Sensational Southwest

Day 1: Historical Walking Tour-Stroll into the past during a guided tour through Telluride's National Historic District

Day 2: Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Train-Ride from Durango through the spectacular Animas River Valley, over breathtaking Molas Pass to the historic mining town of Silverton. The track winds through some of the most dramatic landscapes in the west.

Day 3: Mesa Verde National Park-Visit the number one historic monument destination in the world and explore ancient Anasazi cliff dwellings.

2 nights, 3 days of intimate jazz and a performance by the world renowned Joffrey Ballet of Chicago
August 6: Jazz Festival Opening Night-Terence Blanchard and the Festival Studio Orchestra take the stage for opening ceremonies.

August 7: Jazz by Day, Joffrey by Night-Enjoy performances by jazz artists in Town Park; when the sun sets, watch the Joffrey Ballet light up the stage at the Scott Art Factory.
