This tour is a
classic 8 day circle Utah tour that begins and ends in
Salt Lake City, UT. The itinerary includes each of the five
National
Parks within the state as well as the history of Utah from the
Ancient
Puebloan (Anasazi) Indians to the Mormon settlement.
DAY 1:
* Spend the day
traveling to Salt Lake City, UT.
* Attend an evening rehearsal of the MormonTabernacle Choir.
(Thursdays only)
* Dinner at one of the local, historic restaurants.
* OVERNIGHT IN SALT LAKE CITY
DAY 2:
* Morning tour
of Salt Lake City and Temple Square.
* Lunch on own at Trolley Square shopping center.
* Depart for Moab (approximately 245 miles from SLC to Moab).
* Rest stop at the CEU Prehistoric Museum in Price.
* Dinner in Moab.
* OVERNIGHT IN MOAB.
DAY 3:
* All day jeep
and jet boat tour of Canyonlands National Park,
including lunch.
* Dinner on own - lots of local eateries to choose from in
downtown
Moab.
* OVERNIGHT IN MOAB.
DAY 4:
* Morning tour
of Arches National Park.
* Lunch on own.
* Depart for Blanding (approximately 85 miles from Moab to
Blanding)
* Visit the Edge of the Cedars Museum and Dinosaur Museum
* Dinner and entertainment at the Nations of the Four Corners
Cultural Center.
* OVERNIGHT IN BLANDING.
DAY 5:
* Depart for
Torrey (approximately 180 miles from Blanding to Torrey)
* Morning tour of Natural Bridges National Monument
* Box lunch near Hite Crossing on Lake Powell.
* Afternoon tour of Capitol Reef National Park.
* Dinner in Torrey.
* OVERNIGHT IN TORREY.
DAY 6:
* Depart for
Springdale (approximately 190 miles from Torrey to
Springdale)
* Travel along spectacular Scenic Byway 12.
* Lunch and shopping at Ruby's Inn.
* Afternoon tour of Bryce Canyon National Park.
* Travel to Springdale.
* OVERNIGHT IN ZION NATIONAL PARK AREA.
DAY 7:
* IMAX
presentation of "Treasure of the Gods"
* Morning tram tour of Zion National Park.
* Lunch on own at Zion National Park Lodge.
* Free afternoon.
* Farewell dinner.
* OVERNIGHT IN ZION NATIONAL PARK AREA.
DAY 8:
* Return to Salt
Lake City for flights home (approximately 310 miles
from Springdale to SLC-)
