four corners area and is home to the Durango & Silverton
Narrow Gauge Railroad. The community is surrounded by 2
million acres of public lands with the Animas River
running though town. Activities include skiing, both
downhill and cross country in the winter. Rafting,
hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, and kayaking are
plentiful in Durango. |
