Located on
the banks of the Colorado River, nestled in a fertile
green valley between soaring red sandstone cliffs, the
town of Moab is truly an emerald in the desert. Moab's
close proximity to several natinal and state parks has
made it a popular destination, and the perfect location
to begin any adventure in southeastern Utah. |

The
majestic LaSal Mountains tower over the southern end of
town attaining heights of nearly 13,000 feet. Just five
miles north of town is Arches National Park, which
contains the world's largest concentration of natural
stone arches. Thirty miles west of Moab is Canyonlands
National Park, containing over 500 square miles of
incredibly rugged and spectacular canyon country.
Moab
contains a large assortment of motels, hotels,
campgrounds, Bed & Breaksfasts, Guest Houses and
Condos. Moab offers their visitors the perfect place for
a base camp for their southeastern Utah adventure.
Numerous outfitters and tour operators in Moab will hlep
you plan the perfect adventure-from river rafting to
4wheel drive tours. Moab also offers the visitor a wide
variety of gourmet delights, with anything from ice
cream to a candlelite dinner overlooking the beautiful
Colorado River.
Moab has a
multi agency Visitor's Center located on Main St. to
meet any question or need of the Visitor. Moab, Utah's
Adventure Capitol, is your gateway to Arches and
Canyonlands National Parks, Dead Horse Point State Park,
the mighty Colorado River, outdoor adventure and
activity. The Travel Council is available to assist with
travel plans, itinerary building, information and
resources.
The Travel
Council will provide materials for group meetings,
reunions, incentive meetings, or gatherings of any kind.
